So far this season the Reds won once in seven games on their own patch against FC Gomel, and have failed to beat the likes of Stoke and Hearts.
They also failed to beat Fulham, West Brom, Aston Villa, Wigan, Stoke, Blackburn, Swansea, Norwich and Sunderland at home last season and face a side who are unbeaten in their last 3 games.
Much will depend on which Liverpool turn-up, and if it's the one that hammered Norwich 5-2 away then they should be able to secure all three points.
If it's the one which drew 0-0 with Stoke at home last time out then Reading have every chance of coming away with at point.
Luis Suarez was outstanding against Norwich game, and is capable of causing the Reading back-line all sorts of problems if turning up in the same mood.
He is a standout 4.5 with Coral to net the opener, and a best of 1.83 with Blue Square to score anytime.
Both those prices make plenty of appeal, although in the first scorer market it may be worth having s small saver on Steven Gerrard at the 7 on offer with Coral and Paddy Power.
In what could well turn out to be a real battle, I fancy Liverpool to edge it 2-1, and that scoreline can be backed at 9 with Blue
Square.
